In the past, Riot Games revisited music bands such as Pentakill and K/DA, introducing new songs and accompanying skins. During this period, no new bands were created by Riot.
However, recently, they introduced a new boy band named Heartsteel, accompanied by a new track, "Paranoia," and a set of fresh skins.
To commemorate this band's debut, Riot is launching a mythic variation of League of Legends Ekko, one of the beloved members of True Damage. This mythic skin is named "Breakout True Damage Ekko."
The New Mythic Skin: Breakout True Damage Ekko
Artistic Presentation
This mythic Ekko skin, known as Breakout True Damage Ekko, closely resembles Dark Cosmic Erasure Jhin.
Essentially, it's a visual effects (VFX) and model upgrade over the base legendary skin. However, it retains the same animations, voice-over, and other attributes as the standard True Damage Skin.
How to Obtain the Skin
Price Strategy
The sole method to acquire this True Damage skin is by opening a specific capsule. Although there is a slim chance of obtaining the skin directly, the mythic skin is guaranteed on the 30th capsule opening.
It's important to note that opening this capsule 30 times would amount to $200. Given this rather high cost for a skin, especially one that's essentially a recolor, many might find it not worthwhile.
Release Date
- Coming Soon: The Breakout True Damage Ekko mythic skin is set to release simultaneously with the Heartsteel skins in Patch 13.22. Players can expect to see it on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.
This mythic Ekko skin arrives as Riot Games continues to blend music and League of Legends, expanding its array of bands and music-inspired skins.
