In a recent Dev Update video for League of Legends, Riot Games unveiled an exciting addition to the game – the Language Selection feature. This new feature, set to be introduced in November, addresses a long-standing request from players who have been seeking a safe and simple way to change the in-game language.
Previously, North American players who wished to change their game language to Korean or Japanese had to manipulate the game data, a practice that violated Riot's terms of service and risked players getting banned. This had prompted players to voice their longstanding requests for a safer and more straightforward method to change the in-game language.
Fortunately, Riot has heeded these calls and will introduce a Language Selection feature in League of Legends, allowing players to easily switch to any of the supported languages starting in November.
How to Utilize the Language Selection Feature
Changing your language in League of Legends will become a straightforward process with the introduction of this feature. Here are the steps to switch to your preferred language:
- Open the Riot Client.
- Click on the profile icon located in the top right corner.
- Select the "Settings" menu.
- Within the "Settings" menu, you will find an option named "League of Legends." Click on it.
- Now, you can change the in-game language to your desired one.
Please note that this feature will become available in November.
