League of Legends World Championships regularly take prolonged breaks from any one continent in the world, on account of it being impractical to host it in two regions at the same time.
The only exception is Asia since tournaments hosted in China or Korea are on the same continent but two distinct regions within the game's esports ecosystem.
In any case, the biggest tournament of the year is returning to Europe in 2024.
Earlier in 2023, there were rumours Paris would be one of the destinations for the event and this has now been confirmed by LEC Wooloo, a longtime insider with a good track record.
Unlike in 2019, the city has not been chosen for the finals but rather semifinals this time around.
However, this is enough to confirm that the tournament will be held across Europe and considering the size of the fandom in France, it is not out of the realm of possibility that semifinals will be visited by more people than the finals themselves.
The rest of the venues are not known at this time but we suspect Berlin will be one of them as this is where LEC studio is located, meaning it would be easier for both the LEC teams and any visitors to start the competition in Germany.
Don't miss:
