With the highly anticipated release of the upcoming Arena game mode just around the corner, Riot Games is revealing some exciting balance changes for Arena.

Earlier this year, Riot Games got us all buzzing with anticipation as they dropped hints about a mysterious game mode coming to League of Legends. Unfortunately, details were scarce back then, leaving us in the dark. All we knew was that it would feature a 2v2v2v2 format and boast its own dedicated map.

But fear not, because last month, Riot finally pulled back the curtain and revealed their latest creation: Arena, a thrilling 2v2v2v2 game mode. To add to the excitement, this mode comes with its very own maps. Though runes are absent in this mode, they have been replaced by augments, offering a fresh twist on gameplay.

While Arena is not yet available on live servers, players can get a taste of the action through the League of Legends PBE (Public Beta Environment) servers. Despite being in the early stages of testing, the response has been overwhelming, with countless players signing up for the PBE to get a head start on the competition. It's safe to say that this game mode is off to a promising start.

Let's dive into the details of Patch 13.14: Arena Balance Changes:

Items & Class Adjustments

  • Ranged Champion Stat Bonuses: Attack Speed (AS), Haste, and Movement Speed (MS) have been increased to enhance regular marksmen champions.
  • Mage Item Nerfs: Specific adjustments have been made to items like Sorc Shoes, Void Staff, Liandry's, and Demonic Embrace to address the overperformance of mages.

AD Buffs for Artillery Mages, AP Assassins, and Marksmen Items

  • Various items like Crown of the Shattered Queen, Lich Bane, Hextech Rocketbelt, Night Harvester, and others have received buffs to strengthen these playstyles.
  • Marksmen item changes aim to give a well-deserved boost to crit items, which have been struggling in Arena.

Starter Item Changes

  • Adjustments have been made to Guardian's Dirk, Guardian's Blade, Guardian's Hammer, and Evenshroud to ensure better balance among the starter items.

Augment Tuning

  • Changes have been made to Circle of Death and various augment abilities to address balance concerns and improve gameplay dynamics.

AD Champion Adjustments

  • Numerous champions have received nerfs or buffs tailored specifically for Arena. For example, Taric, Annie, Heimerdinger, Kayn, Shaco, Syndra, Teemo, Kayle, Nunu, Yorick, Yasuo, Akali, Jhin, Pyke, and more.

Release Date for Arena Changes

All these exciting changes will go live with Patch 13.14, set to release on Wednesday, July 19, 2023.

It's clear that Riot is committed to refining and improving the Arena game mode based on player feedback and balance needs. These changes aim to create a more enjoyable and fair experience for everyone stepping into the Arena.

So get ready to embrace the action and test out the new balance adjustments in Arena. It's going to be a thrilling adventure as you navigate the ever-evolving world of League of Legends.
