League of Legends is hot on the heels of Riot's recent new champion, Locke, teasing yet another addition to the LoL champion roster. We’ve now gotten our first looks at this champion, and it’s been confirmed multiple times over that Locke will be arriving this For Demacia season.
With a lot of players wondering who Locke is in League of Legends, let’s break down what we know so far.
Who Is Locke in League of Legends?
While Riot has yet to share any story details on Locke, we know he’s arriving soon and many fans are already theorizing about who he is based on the release timing.
The biggest hint comes from the fact that this is the For Demacia season, so there’s a good chance Locke is either Demacian himself or hails from a region nearby.
It’s hard to say whether he’ll strictly be a good champion or have some flavorful villainy to his backstory. Some champions take years to find out their backstory or personality, while others have information drip fed to players via short stories, cinematics, or in-client events. As such, we likely won’t know more about Locke’s background until closer to release.
First Look at Locke’s Character Design
While we wait on more details about Locke’s backstory, we have some solid information on what he looks like. Based on the recently leaked shots of Locke, he’s coming to League as your typical no-nonsense fighter.
He doesn’t appear to have the glamorous robes of more typical Demacian champions, instead looking a bit more weathered and experienced.
Some details about Locke’s appearance include:
- His cloak or outer piece of clothing
- Bright and messy hair
- An intense glare
- His small sword/dagger drawn and at the ready
All signs point to Locke hanging around in fight range and hitting things with either precision or simple aggression.
What We Know About Locke’s Abilities
Unfortunately, there hasn’t been any confirmation on what Locke’s abilities will be just yet. Any information floating around is purely from conjecture and speculation from the community. However, we can assume a few things about Locke’s kit based on his character design.
