The League of Legends Arena game mode Fame System represents the new primary progression path for advancement in Arena, implemented by Riot Games with the new LoL Patch 25.05.
Players gain Fame through their performance during matches and specific actions they perform within games.
You will earn Fame faster by completing missions for every champion three times. You'll generally gain Fame depending on how you place in any individual game, but in addition to just playing and winning there will also be a set of three missions you can accomplish per champion that will drastically accelerate your Fame leveling experience.
How to earn Fame
- Players receive 10 Fame points for each round they play and get an additional 20% Fame bonus when playing with friends.
- Players will receive 50 Fame points for selecting a new champion to play.
- Players receive 150 Fame points when they secure their initial victory using a champion and finish in the Top 4.
- Players earn 200 Fame when they secure their first first-place finish with a champion.
- Game players earn 30 Fame points by locking in a random champion through the Bravery button.
- You receive 10 Fame for playing a champion who is popular with the crowd.
Fame rewards
The system facilitates engaging Arena progression by eliminating ranked ladder pressure while incorporating new meta-systems to improve player experience.
- At Level 1 with 100 Fame players receive the Silver Augment Overflow.
- At Level 2 players receive 1,400 Fame through the addition of Hattrick (Gold Augment).
- Level 3 (2,900 Fame): Matchup intro upgrade

New Arena features
The new Arena features designed around Bravery and Crowd Favorite Options motivate players to try various champions and expand their play experience.
- Bravery: A random champion selection rewards players with a bonus stat anvil in addition to two rerolls. Players cannot see their champion until they reach the loading screen.
- Crowd Favorite: Players who select champions from 2 to 5 suggestions earn a bonus stat anvil which motivates them to broaden their roster of champions.
The Guest of Honor System
This system introduces well-known Noxian characters or Reckoners to serve as modifiers for game events as replacements for cameos.
The selected Guests receive votes from players who then activate special effects specific to their selection.
First Wave of Guests of Honor:
- Darius: When a team is eliminated it suffers 50 damage while remaining teams recover 5 HP.
- Rell: Reduces Prismatic Anvil cost by 1,000 gold.
- Vladimir: Grants all players a bonus Augment.
- Swain: The amount of Ravens you gather during combat dictates the future Augment tiers.
- Kled: Kled gives a spell which ends battles once the round concludes.
- Xin Zhao: When team HP falls under 60 points players receive a Gold Stat Anvil but receive a Prismatic Stat Anvil when close to elimination.
- Briar: This ability delivers a 5 damage bonus per round and provides a 15 HP team healing whenever a player wins while facing elimination.
- Mordekaiser: During combat Mordekaiser transports one player from each team to the Death Realm at random
- Mel: Activates four additional Hexgates per combat.
- Talon: Each team's combatant delivers 20% more damage per fight but provides 250 gold when defeated.
- Sion: The Ring of Fire emerges 15 seconds ahead of schedule and quickly closes in after moving.
- Samira: Two Juices are awarded for the first strike in combat and the reward increases to four when a combatant achieves a hot streak.
- Elise: Elise's abilities allow players to return to battle from death through ally-assisted cocoons.
- Riven: Riven appears during voting phases but makes no changes to game mechanics.
- Trundle: The locking of Legendary items stops access to Legendary Anvil.
Map updates
- Koi Pond: The Koi Pond map now includes extra pathways which stop players from becoming trapped.
- New Map – Pillars: Attackable pillars can be knocked down by players to build barriers which simultaneously damage enemies.
The Arachnophobia Mode
Elise Guest of Honor event features a setting for players who prefer to avoid spiders through the "Hide Eye Candy" toggle option.
- On: The mode ensures that spiders remain absent while Elise refrains from visually cocooning players.
- Off: Eliminated players witness Elise's spider transformation when she descends from above to cocoon them.
Arena Quality-of-Life changes
Champion Mastery progression now counts in Arena. Twenty-five new Augments have been added which consist of twenty entirely fresh ones and five curse Augments that have returned.
- Various Augment and item balance updates.
- Stat Anvil message system: Now displays the chosen stat.
- Reroll changes: Rerolls now operate on a per-slot basis instead of affecting multiple slots simultaneously.
