ARAM is an alternative to Summoner's Rift

Patch 14.6 released on March 20, 2024, made substantial changes to ARAM. While the item and champion changes are applicable on all game modes, these changes are especially for ARAM.

League of Legends patch 14.6 brings massive changes to champions that are overperforming and underperforming. While most of them are receiving minor changes, Galio, Karma, Kayn and Rek'Sai are receiving the most. This patch just went live, so you can expect to see these changes on your respective servers.

While Summoner's Rift is always the game mode getting all the tlc, this time Riot Games is giving ARAM some much-needed attention. Besides ARAM, the developers also paid special attention to the League of Legend's Replay system. So let's see what these new changes and updates are.

All ARAM Changes on Patch 14.6

Champion Buffs:

  • Alistar now receives less damage,  going from 110% to 105%
  • Diana now takes less damage, going from 100% to 95%
  • Lillia now deals more damage, going from 90% to 95%
  • Ornn now takes less damage, going from 110% to 105%
  • Twisted Fate now deals more damage, going from 95% to 100%

  • Her shielding has increased from 90% to 95%.

Ziggs

  • Ziggs's Passive's damage to structures was lowered from  250% to 150%
  • Ziggs's Passive's damage dealt was increased from 80% to 85%
  • His W's Tower Execute got lowered from  25/27.5/30/32.5/35% to 12.5/15/17.5/20/22.5%  of the tower's Maximum Health.

Replay System Update in League of Legends

According to the developers, "Starting with this patch, we'll be making some updates to the replay system. While you won't notice any changes on your end, this will help us make improvements behind the scenes. This update will remove any saved replays created during this patch earlier than usual, but as soon as the update goes through, the replay system will return to saving and storing replays for ~14 days as normal."

These changes will be made in one to two regions at a time. Here's a tentative schedule:

  • Oceanic Servers: March 25, 2024
  • Japanese Servers: March 25, 2024
  • North American Servers: April 2, 2024

The champions that were buffed were some of the favourite picks in ARAM, so this means fights will be more intense from now on. Again, since ARAM has only a few towers to go through, the ZIggs change makes perfect sense, as now he alone won't be able to end games solo.
