The last top lane champion Riot Games added to League of Legends was Gwen, a top lane skirmisher. She is a far cry from what the top lane archetype is, and the new champion coming to League of Legends may fulfill it, finally.
That champion is K'Sante and, if the release of the teaser is anything to go by, it should be going live soon.
There are two things we can notice from the teaser. The first of all, is that K'Sante will most likely be a straight-forward frontline champion, or perhaps even the usual tank if his physique and the two enormous shield-like weapons next to his table in the teaser are to be believed.
On the other hand, we can notice the abundance of color in the teaser as well, with what seems to be the continuation of exploring African culture, when it comes to the lore of Shurima.
Thus in K'Sante we also see the return of high fantasy to League of Legends. Here is a man who defends his homeland as a hunter, and hunts incredible beasts with oversized weapons.
After a few years of gritty champions and settings, this is a refreshing change of pace for League of Legends. the only question that remains is, will K'Sante be balanced?
