Riot Games have been placing Easter Eggs into League of Legends from day one, thus referencing the things that inspired them, or teasing new champions.
The most famous example of this is also an item, the Blade of the Ruined King to be exact, which teased the events of the Ruination, years before those were ever a thing.
Now, one of the new items released in Preseason 2023, is Jak'Sho the Protean, and from its name, we can already see that it has some sort of connection to the Void.
If you've used this item in the game, or someone from both teams builds it, by fulfiling some, yet unknown requirement, you can be deemed worthy by Jak'Sho the Protean, and have a part of your power absorbed.
We don't know what this implies, as most players thought, at first, that it was a false system message, which has later been disproven.
However, it could be the teaser for the next League of Legends champion, the same way they did prior to Sett's release, where players got cards mentioning the Boss, which then gave them Sett for free upon his release.
At the time, the rquirement was getting 10 first bloods. Now, who knows what the requirement is, all we do know is, it'll likely pay off to be recognized by Jak'Sho.
