Riot Games has finally announced that the much-awaited Fright Night Skins will return to League of Legends at Halloween 2024. First seen in 2022, Fright Night is a set of horror-themed skins-horror-imagining of the older skin line, the Gothic one.
This year, it's back with new champions added, along with exciting features. Back in 2022, Riot held a VGU event where players were invited to vote for champions they wanted reworked.
Alongside that, there was another poll in which, this time, the players could vote for a retired skin line to return. It was the Gothic skin line, which had only featured skins for Annie, Amumu, and Orianna that came out on top in the voting.
Riot took that as feedback, remaking those Gothic skins into what was going to be the Fright Night line. Fright Night skins are part of the gothic horror, taking inspiration from a classic horror movie genre in a unique cel-shaded art style.
First-wave Fright Night skins included champions like Annie, Draven, Renata Glasc, Nautilus, Trundle, and Urgot-quickly loved by players. For 2024, Riot is expanding the Fright Night series, adding in new champions and a number of other exciting creations.
Listed below are the following new skins:
- Fright Night Veigar (legendary type)
- Fright Night Zeri - has a Prestige version
- Fright Night Shaco
- Fright Night Pyke
- Fright Night Nunu & Willump
Unlike the previous set, this year's set includes a Legendary skin for Veigar and a Prestige skin for Zeri, adding even more diversity to the line.
Although Riot hasn't actually confirmed the splash arts of these skins, they are scheduled to release soon, and players are excited for more details with the date of Halloween approaching.
