Riot Games has officially confirmed that Ultra Rapid Fire (URF) will return as the next rotating game mode in League of Legends, much to the excitement of the player community.
Amidst the familiar landscapes of Summoner’s Rift and ARAM, League of Legends players are eagerly anticipating the revival of URF, a game mode renowned for its fast-paced and exhilarating gameplay.
The newest changes are that the Cull, Dark Seal / Mejai's Soulstealer, Relic Shield, Spectral Sickle, Spellthief's Edge, Steel Shoulderguards, Watchful Wardstone / Vigilant Wardstone and Early Surrender are removed.
URF Mode 2025 rules and news
URF mode amplifies the chaos on Summoner's Rift, granting champions 300 Ability Haste (equivalent to 75% cooldown reduction) and eliminating Mana and Energy costs from abilities.
Specific buffs and nerfs
Certain champions receive unique buffs or nerfs in URF, ensuring a balanced and entertaining experience. Leaked changes for champions and runes add an element of anticipation and strategy to the game.
Special adjustments for URF
To maintain equality among items, healing effects from healing reduction items will undergo an "Heal Embargo," initially being 50% effective and gradually reaching 100% effectiveness at 25 minutes.
Shield strength sees a reduction through "Shield Overload," excluding shields from Ultimates.
Champion Cannon
Experience the thrill of the Champion Cannon, a feature exclusive to URF. Launch yourself from a cannon outside the fountain, dealing Magic Damage and knocking up enemies in your chosen area.
Gold income, level cap & Early Surrender
To accommodate the rapid pace of URF matches, adjustments are made to gold income, the level cap, and the surrender option. Players receive increased gold for minions, and the level cap is raised to 30, allowing for enhanced champion stats.
This will make the game to be played at a quicker pace with the option to surrender at 8 minutes or opt for the traditional surrender at 10 minutes.
Changes and updates:
- +300 Ability Haste, Summoner Spell Haste, and Item Haste.
- +25% Tenacity.
- +60 Movement Speed.
- Bonus Attack Speed:
- Doubled for ranged champions.
- 1.5 times for melee champions.
- Mana Champions:
- Bonus mana is converted to HP at a rate of 35%.
- Bonus mana regen is converted to HP at a 100% rate.
- Higher Level Cap:
- The level cap is increased to level 30.
- Mana and Energy Consumption Reduced:
- Reduced by 100%.
- Smite:
- Charge rate reduced to 30 seconds from 75 seconds.
- Cooldown between charges reduced to 10 seconds from 15 seconds.
- Teleport Disabled.
- Baron Nashor and Dragon Spawn Times:
- Baron Nashor’s initial spawn time set to 10 minutes.
- Dragon’s initial spawn time set to 4 minutes.
- Items Removed:
- Cull, Dark Seal / Mejai’s Soulstealer, Relic Shield, Spectral Sickle, Spellthief’s Edge, Steel Shoulderguards, Watchful Wardstone / Vigilant Wardstone.
- Early Surrender:
- Players can unanimously surrender at 8 minutes.
The URF experience is expected to seamlessly integrate enhancements made earlier to align with preseason adjustments.
