League of Legends players are continuing to get details about the upcoming Team Voice feature before Riot makes an official announcement. Team Voice is expected to allow players to communicate with teammates outside of premade groups.
While Riot confirmed the feature is in development already, recent findings from files on the PBE and datamining are said to reveal more details about how Team Voice will work.
Team Voice apparently will have some sort of requirement that players need to meet before accessing the feature. The leaker Arcane Jayden and findings from PBE files shared by League of Legends dataminer SkinSpotlights suggest that players will need to be Honor Level 3 with no active voice restrictions.
Team Voice will also reportedly still be optional for players. Those who don’t want to use voice chat in League of Legends should be able to continue to rely on text chat and pings to communicate with teammates. Another discovery mentions possible Voicemod integration with Team Voice.
SkinSpotlights found mentions of Voicemod and something called “Voice Skins” in recent PBE builds. While it isn’t clear what voice skins will do, the system will likely allow players to modify their voices during Team Voice chats. Recording of Team Voice conversations
Team Voice chats are reportedly recorded and can be reviewed by moderators. This leaked detail would pair nicely with another recent discovery about Team Voice that lets players listen to incoming voice chat before deciding to pick up.
None of the details above have been confirmed by Riot Games. Players should expect more information to come before Team Voice launches in League of Legends.
