Another small patch for Starfield is now live across all platforms including PC and Xbox Series X|S consoles. The patch brings only one new addition along with a couple of fixes and general improvements.
Obviously, the biggest highlight of the patch is the FOV slider, which is something that Starfield players have been asking for since the game launched. Many argued that a AAA game should not launch without this feature but Starfield did and it is what it is. At least it's here now.
The FOV slider is available on PC and Xbox Series X|S and can be found in the game's Settings. It will allow you to change the FOV of both first and third person perspectives which is quite nice.
Additionally, the patch improves stability for Intel Arc GPUs on the PC platform and fixes an issue in the Echoes of the Past quest. Here are the full patch notes so you can see everything that Bethesda added and improved in the Starfield 1.7.36 Update.
Starfield 1.7.36 Update patch notes
GENERAL
- FOV: Sliders are now available in Settings that allow players using first person or third person to adjust their FOV.
PERFORMANCE AND STABILITY
- [PC ONLY] Improved stability for Intel Arc GPUs.
Various additional stability and performance improvements.
QUEST
- Echoes of the Past: Addressed an issue where tunneling creatures could pick a location that would prevent progression.
So that's pretty much it. Quite a small patch but nonetheless, it brings a feature that both Xbox and especially PC players have been wanting to see in the game.
Bethesda are still working on more Starfield fixes and improvements and hopefully, we'll hear more about that and the promised HDR, DLSS and more.
