Starfield is a massive hit for both Bethesda and Xbox. Following last week's announcement that more than six million players dived into their massive sci-fi RPG, Bethesda have today revealed more record-breaking numbers.
Officially, Starfield has over ten million players across PC and Xbox Series X|S platforms. Starfield is still Bethesda's biggest game launch of all time, which was somewhat expected given that this is their first IP in more than two decades.
We assume that more than half of those players are Game Pass subscribers, which will be great news for Microsoft, too, as they probably hoped that Starfield would boost the engagement numbers on their subscription service.
Additionally, Microsoft also revealed official concurrent player numbers for Starfield last week. Microsoft Gaming head Phil Spencer confirmed that more than one million players played Starfield at the same time. We can only speculate but that number probably increased over the last week or so, as more and more players decided to give Bethesda's new RPG a go.
It remains to be seen if the company share more numbers for Starfield. It would certainly be interesting to see how many copies were sold in early access or how well the game sold overall.
All in all, Starfield's popularity is skyrocketing and we expect to see even more players join in to experience this new space RPG from Bethesda in the coming weeks and months. If we had to guess, we'd say that Starfield will probably become Bethesda's second-best game behind Skyrim, in terms of player count.
