Amazon Games and Glowmade have announced that their upcoming party platformer King of Meat will launch on October 7, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam.
King of Meat is a 1–4 player co-op party platformer where contenders battle through chaotic dungeons packed with puzzles, traps and bizarre monsters. Players will be able to dive into both official and community-made levels, or flex their creativity by building and sharing their own dungeons. At launch, the game will feature over 100 dungeons, with more to come as the community expands Create Mode.
Pre-orders are now live for two editions. The Standard Edition is priced at £23.95 and includes the Venerable Defender Legendary Costume – a samurai-inspired outfit complete with sword, shield and stickers – along with up to five days of early access starting October 2. The £39.95 Deluxe Edition includes all Standard content plus two exclusive character sets, Tapeboard Betsy and Emerson Shard.
Ahead of release, a King of Meat Technical Test will run from August 23 at 6PM BST to August 24 at 6PM BST on Steam, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Players can join solo or with friends, and Twitch Drops will be available for those who watch 30 minutes of partnered streams, unlocking a Beta Rewards Top that carries into the full game.
Glowmade and Amazon Games also confirmed their commitment to a player-friendly model. All in-game purchases will be cosmetic only, with no pay-to-win mechanics, no loot boxes and full transparency on pricing. Post-launch updates will be free, with future plans including new dungeons, events, modes and customization options.
King of Meat is rated PEGI 16 and launches October 7.
