Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl Confirms PlayStation 5 Release Date

GSC Game World has announced that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will officially launch on PlayStation 5 on November 20, 2025, exactly one year after its release on PC and Xbox Series X|S.

The PS5 version arrives fully optimised for Sony’s hardware, featuring a suite of DualSense capabilities including Adaptive Triggers, Haptic Feedback, Motion Sensor aiming, Touchpad gestures, and controller speaker/lightbar support. GSC say players should feel even more immersed thanks to Tempest 3D Audio, bringing the sounds of the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone to life. Players can also earn PlayStation Trophies as they progress through Skif’s dangerous journey.

Owners of a PlayStation 5 Pro will benefit from additional graphical improvements, including higher shadow resolution, enhanced global illumination, superior reflections, and upgraded volumetric fog and cloud rendering. These enhancements aim to deliver a more atmospheric and visually detailed experience across the Zone.

Pre-orders for the PS5 release are live now, with three digital editions available: Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate. Bonuses include exclusive weapon and costume skins for PlayStation players. A physical Standard Edition will also be available at launch, with collector’s editions planned for 2026.
