Neocore Games announced that their upcoming turn-based RPG will take a little longer to release than what was originally planned.
Delving into the newest take of the Arthurian legend will have to wait a bit longer since Neocore Games pushed the release date from late March 29 to April 26, 2022.
According to the announcement, King Arthur: Knight's Tale is actually feature-complete but the team will need more time for polishing it. While that latter part sounds like a blanket statement for just about any release delay these days, Neocore actually revealed the specifics of it.
The team stated they are going to use the additional four weeks to improve voice acting and localisation while also completing testing of the game. Having played the second act of the game , which is not available in Early Access, I'm inclined to say the devs are spot on with this direction. Occasional bugs and a few rough edges in the flavouring department were what stuck with me and even though the strong points outweighed these issues by a lot, it's still better to not have them at launch.
As for the console release, Neocore previously stated that PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions are coming at a later date and the sentiment remains after this announcement.
That said, a delay for PC is essentially a delay for the consoles as well.
