Team Cherry today announced Hollow Knight: Silksong Patch 1.0.28470, which is due to roll out to all platforms in the near future. This first post-launch update for Silksong will address various progression bugs and provide balance changes in an attempt to smooth out the early portions of the game's difficulty.
Fans on PC are already able to experience the patch firsthand, as it is currently available on Steam and GOG's public beta branch. Console players will be able to experience the patch once it officially launches.
Key Bug Fixes
In addition to a number of bug fixes, Patch 1.0.28470 addressed a range of progression and quality of life issues. Quests like the Infestation Operation and Beast in the Bells wishes were both fixed to prevent the previous uncompletable state under certain circumstances.
Courier deliveries in Act 3 also return in this patch, along with memory interaction and deflection and specific enemy encounters.These fixes will help prevent soft-locks and glitches that impede or lock out progression through Silksong's world unnecessarily.
Balance Adjustments
Changes also reduce the difficulty slightly during the earlier parts of the game, with a specific focus on the bosses Moorwing and Sister Splinter, which have both been re-tuned slightly.
Other changes include less damage taken from Sandcarvers and collider scaling changes to certain enemy types.A number of economy-related changes have been made as well.
Prices in mid-game hubs such as the Bellway and Bell Bench have been decreased. Rewards for collecting rosaries from relics, psalm cylinders, and courier deliveries have been buffed.
Additional Tweaks and Stability Improvements
In addition to the significant additions detailed above, Patch 1.0.28470 also brings a host of minor refinements and bug fixes.
These small, quality-of-life changes round out and polish various systems, helping to ensure that Silksong lives up to its already earned potential as one of the most highly-anticipated Metroidvanias of the past decade.
Hollow Knight: Silksong Availability
Hollow Knight: Silksong was released on September 4, 2025. It is available on PC, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
Team Cherry is actively updating the game with new content and quality of life improvements.
