Someone has uploaded ten minutes of gameplay from Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions and the publisher Warner Bros. are not happy about it. The footage which gives us a first look at the game's character selection screen and an intense match of the famous Harry Potter sport, has been quickly removed from YouTube but if you are quick, you can still find it on Gaming Leaks and rumours subreddit.
The video shows raw gameplay from, what is probably one of the recent playtests that Warner Bros. hosted. You can learn more about the playtest and how to sign up on the official website.
Anyway, the video, which we will not share in this article to avoid DMCA strikes, shows several characters including Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and more characters from this iconic universe. The character selection screen also reveals that the game will have four player classes - Chaser, Beater, Keeper and Seeker.
Additionally, there's an option to create a custom character and choose your broom and broom trails. We've seen around 15 brooms and eleven broom trails, but expect more in the final version of the game.
The video then shows the Quidditch match in action and we have to say that the gameplay looked pretty smooth and fun. It's fast-paced and as expected it features a lot of chasing around the stadium to get the Quaffle ball and put it into one of the three rings.
All in all, if you're a Harry Potter a full-fledged Quidditch video game will probably make you happy as the most recent Harry Potter title Hogwarts Legacy did not feature this sport, which disappointed many fans.
Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions does not have a release date at the moment but we know it's coming to PC and consoles, though, Warner Bros. did not specify which consoles will be supported. We assume the game will be coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and probably Switch.
