EA’s skate. is kicking off its first-ever seasonal update with Season 1: Hesh & Fresh, a 90s-inspired refresh that brings new events, challenges, cosmetics, and brands to San Vansterdam.

EA’s skate. is officially rolling out its first seasonal update on October 7, 2025, running through December 2. Season 1, titled Hesh & Fresh, is inspired by 90s skate culture and introduces new areas, challenges, cosmetics, and a refreshed soundtrack.

Seasons in skate. are designed to expand San Vansterdam with themed events, skateable spots, and new progression systems. Each season will also deliver quality-of-life updates, new tasks, and collaborations with real-world skate brands.

Seasonal Events

Two limited-time events will shape the Season 1 calendar:

  • Skate-o-Ween (Oct. 21 – Nov. 11): A lighthearted Halloween celebration focused on costumes and fun rather than scares. Players can expect seasonal decor, themed cosmetics, and community events across San Van.
  • 7-Ply Maple Harvest (Nov. 18 – Dec. 2):  The annual San Van 7-Ply Maple Harvest is a long-standing festival celebrating the city’s unique maple trees; in the 70s, skaters discovered that the trees' wood were perfectly suited for skateboard construction. It’s a community tradition rooted in accomplishments, growth, and reflection.

Season 1 introduces 40 weekly rotating challenges alongside a suite of daily, weekly, and seasonal tasks. Completing them earns players Tix, the in-game currency used to unlock rewards.
