Halo Infinite co-development studio Certain Affinity are reportedly working on a brand new mode for the game, which could be Invasion 2.0.
Halo Infinite could be getting a new mode in the near future and that mode could be similar to battle royale or Invasion. According to Windows Central Gaming's (WCG) Jez Corden, the studio behind this new mode are Certain Affinity, who are also working on a Monster Hunter-like exclusive for Xbox.
Certain Affinity have co-developed Halo Infinite with 343 Industries and will reportedly continue to work Halo Infinite's brand new mode. The WCG report states that the mode could be a take on the popular battle royale genre or something different.
Halo Infinite leaker Surasia reveals that the mode could actually be Invasion 2.0.
Invasion is a Halo Reach team-based mode where the game begins on Phase 1 with only one portion of the map and vehicles available. As more Phases unlock, players get access to more objectives, vehicles and loadouts.
At the moment, we do not have an official confirmation from 343 Industries that this mode is indeed in the works but if the rumours are legit, we should be hearing about it in the near future. Perhaps, this is one of the big modes for Halo Infinite's Season 2, which is scheduled to launch in a couple of months?
Until we get an official word, take everything with a grain of salt, just as every other rumour or unconfirmed report.
