According to reliable Jeff Grubb, Certain Affinity are developing an online co-op game in the style of Monster Hunter with Microsoft publishing the game through Xbox Game Studios Publishing.
Xbox seem to have another third-party exclusive in the works. This time, they will be publishing a brand new IP from Halo co-development studio Certain Affinity, who are reportedly working on a Monster Hunter-like online co-op game.
The scoop comes from a reliable industry insider and Gamesbeat reported Jeff Grubb, who revealed that Xbox are looking to add more co-op games but didn't want to force their studios to make one so they've teamed up with Certain Affinity and will be publishing the title through their Xbox Games Studios Publishing label.
The details about the game are pretty scarce right now but WindowsCentral reported Jez Corden has added that Xbox will probably own the IP. Corden will be revealing more details about the game on the Xbox Two Podcast tomorrow night so tune in here if you would love to hear more about the game.
Given that Xbox will be publishing the game, it's safe to assume that this will be another exclusive to Xbox ecosystem or platforms "where Game Pass exists". The release date is currently unknown but it may take a while before the game releases since it's yet to be announced.
As always with leaks and rumours, take this with a grain of salt since it's yet to be officially announced.
