Following a balance update that most Guild Wars 2 players didn't like, ArenaNet are gearing up for one that is already generating positive impressions.
Guild Wars 2 went through a rough balance update that left the players feeling like the devs are completely out of touch with certain professions while Mechanist Engineers became extremely easy to play with potential that couldn't be matched by anything else.
Now, ArenaNet ran the players through the balance update that is due on October 4, 2022, and the changes are already making people happy throughout most of the professions.
One of particular note would be Warriors, who are getting several improvements but most importantly, Berserkers are going to be less reliant on primal bursts.
Just in case you are not familiar with the term, it's the improved version of burst skills Warriors get access to while Berserk is active. Previously, the players couldn't use any burst skills until Berserk activation, which presented a huge problem when it was on cooldown as Warriors would then lose efficiency and DPS in a dramatic fashion.
This will no longer bet the case after October 4 as Berserkers will once again be able to use regular bursts, much like they could back in the early days of Heart of Thorns.
As a tradeoff, Berserker utility skills will not prolong the Berserk state as much but they should become more viable in both PvE and PvP regardless.
