Guild Wars 2 a bit of a drought when it comes to story content ever since End of Dragons launched, with an entire year between the expansion and the story update that brought us the giant meta in Jade Sea.
ArenaNet are aware of the gap and are already working on stifling such occurrences in the future but they will not wait to move to a different delivery model before they add more story.
What Lies Within content update has been scheduled for May 23, 2023, which is three weeks from the time of publishing this article.
Players will enter Gyala Delve to fight some more demons in tunnels and when they finish the map meta, it will enter a peaceful state that will make it friendly to explorers.
Once the peaceful version of the map is available, players will be able to engage in a new adventure that features co-op for the first time. It will utilise siege turtles.
Besides the new content coming at the end of May 2023, there will be another iteration of Dragon Bash, coming on June 6, 2023. The same update will bring menu options to enhance your clarity in the battlefield, allowing you to avoid enemy AoE and utilise the allied ones better.
Finally, a new Cantha-themed Fractal is coming on June 27 along with a profession balance update. Considering that ANet beefed up their balance team in the past year, let's hope we don't get more incidents like the crit chance increase in the wrong tree.
