GTA 6 could release sometime during Holiday of 2024 but there's a chance it slips into early 2025, claims Rockstar insider Tez2.
We haven't heard much about GTA 6 since that big leak and the official statement from Rockstar Games , which confirmed the existence of the game, we all knew was in development. But, insiders and leakers have been sharing some tidbits about the potential release date, and today, we have another such information, coming from a trusted insider.
Tez2 reveals that at the moment, Rockstar's internal release date for GTA 6 is Holiday 2024. However, the insider was adamant that these things change on the go and that the release date is not set in stone.
"Their aimed-aways-changing-not-set-in-stone deadline is holiday 2024. Which has been pushed back multiple times the past few years. Unfortunately, it could slip into early 2025 as well." Tez2 wrote as reported by Twitter user Usman.
Tez2 also states that most of Rockstar's employees are now back in the office which could result in faster development overall.
If the late 2024/early 2025 release date is indeed Rockstar's internal target for GTA 6, we would not be surprised to see an official announcement later this year.
Rockstar could drop the reveal trailer along with a release window announcement for next year and that certainly wouldn't be out of the ordinary given that Red Dead Redemption 2 was announced in October 2016 with a release date of H2 2017. GTA 5 was also announced in October so it's a month that Rockstar are quite fond of.
Thanks to one of the biggest leaks in the history of video games, we know that GTA 6 will be set in the modern-day Vice City featuring both male and female protagonists.
We expect the game to launch on PlayStation 5 , Xbox Series X|S and PC .
