Although its unveiling at E3 2019 featured the name Gods & Monsters, Ubisoft have since made the creative decision to change it to Immortals: Fenyx Rising.
You may also remember Gods & Monsters from the Google Stadia slip up, where the platform made an early build of the game available to play. To make matters even more confusing, that build was called Orpheus, but there was no doubt as to what the game in question was.
At the time, Ubisoft rushed to inform everyone that this was a year old build, but the latest info is as current as it can be.
Namely, the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee has published the rating for Immortals: Fenyx Rising. The rating states the game is developed by Ubisoft and that it launches for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
Now, Ubisoft have already said they've opted for another for Gods & Monsters, they just didn't say which one. Considering that the name of the game's protagonist is Fenyx, though, there's very little doubt we're talking about the same one.
Ubisoft said they'll have more info in the summer so currently, all eyes are on September's Ubisoft Forward event, when we hope to learn more about the so-called storybook adventure.
The fact that the Board published the rating is a decent enough confirmation that the game won't take much longer, s hopefully we'll be getting a full-fledged announcement.
Of course, Ubisoft's September event is expected to feature much more than just Gods & Monsters, oops, Immortals: Fenyx Rising. Expect a healthy dose of Watch Dogs: Legion as well as Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, which are launching in October and November, respectively.
Thanks, Gematsu .
