Blue Mammoth Games will finally be adding one missing piece of the Brawlhalla puzzle, and we're talking about cross-play of course. Additionally, the dev announced they're preparing a special Halloween event, for all the platforms.
"Players on PlayStation 4 can now play Brawlhalla with players on PC and other consoles. That means every single Brawlhalla player, regardless of platform, can now be matched against each other in all online queues as well as share custom lobbies", they wrote.
So, not only are PS4 owners now part of Brawlhalla's cross-platform pack, i.e. they can share custom lobbies and queue up against other platforms, but it also means they can take part in all the official Brawlhalla esports events. This should be great news, as Brawlhalla championships in 2017 and 2018 featured prize pools of $100,000, so you have time to practice for November.
Blue Mammoth Games said that cross-play integration is a huge step and thanked the players that took part in the journey.
As for the new event, the dev came up with Brawlhalloween, which is pretty self-explanatory. Bralhalloween is already live and will last until 30 October 2019, leaving you to celebrate actual Halloween in peace.
So, Brawlhalla players will be able to get their mitts on haunting colours, Graveyard 2019 podium, avatars, and a bunch of Legend skins, each of which comes with two weapon skins.
- New for 2019: Dusk Till Dawn skin
- New for 2019: Petra Reanimated skin
- Horseman Lucien skin
- Skel- skin
- Werebat skin
- Immortal Caspian skin
- Punkin Spice Yumiko skin
- Diana skin
- The Monster Gnash skin
- Bewitching Scarlet skin, Mammoth coins (comes with two weapon skins and an animated hat, going for 200 Mammoth coins)
If you're not familiar with Brawlhalla, we're talking about a popular and free-to-play brawler in the vein of Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, except that it's available on all the platforms and doesn't cost a dime to get into. Since PlayStation 4 is now part of the cross-play game, it's sufficient to say that it boasts 30 million players, period.
