God of War fans rejoice - your favourite boi has received a launch date for God of War: Fallen God, a comic book by the famous publishing house Dark Horse.
If you're familiar with Dark Horse's repertoire, you know they're a powerhouse and they're quite fond of video games - they're behind the Cyberpunk 2077: Trauma Team #1 comic, which you can check out here .
As for Kratos, God of War: Fallen God isn't news in itself, but the publisher had to delay it due to the pandemic. Thanks to eagle-eyed Redditors, however, we found out that Dark Horse quietly updated the launch date. So, according to the official listing, he'll be hitting the shelves on March 10, 2021.
Continuity-wise, God of War: Fallen God sits between God of War 3 and the numberless God of War from 2018, filling you in on what's been happening in between all the god killing.
"After conquering Zeus and thwarting Athena, Kratos believes himself to be finally free from his bondage. He sets sail for the desert in an attempt to distance himself from his home and his shame only to find his rage and guilt follow close behind. Kratos rages against the one foe that has proven to be unconquerable--himself. But a war against oneself is unwinnable, and only invites madness", the description reads.
Fans are well aware that God of War: Ragnarok is coming to PlayStation 5 in 2021, but we suspect it won't launch in the first half of the year. Which, of course, leaves God of War: Fallen God as mandatory reading material for die-hard fans.
You can find God of War: Fallen God listed on Dark Horse's website .
