Forza Horizon 6 is reportedly arriving on May 19, 2026, with Early Access beginning May 15. Here’s what to expect from the Japan setting, map scale, car count, and preorder bonuses.

Details of an upcoming Forza Horizon game have seemingly leaked online today, with information regarding Forza Horizon 6 saying that Japan will be its location. Supposed details state that the game releases on 19 May 2026, though Early Access will begin on 15 May for players who purchase the Premium Edition.

Japanese news outlet Yahoo! Japan reportedly spoke with sources on the game who say Playground Games wants this Horizon installment to be one of their biggest yet, taking the festival outside of Europe for the first time to a locale fans have long dreamed about.

Reportedly set in Japan, players can expect the next Horizon festival to showcase an open world full of everything from vibrant city life to scenic coastal towns and rural mountain areas. Cherry blossom tree-lined streets, congested city highways ripe for cruising, and narrow touge mountain passes for drifting fans are just some of the locales players will explore.

Forza Horizon 6 details and pre-order bonuses

Playground Games is said to be referring to this map as the biggest in Horizon series history. A large roster of cars should also be expected from Forza Horizon 6 if these reports prove true.

Over 550 real-life cars are said to be available at launch, giving players access to a massive amount of cars spanning performance, racers, off-roaders, tuners, and more.

Preorder bonuses also appear substantial.

Expected rewards include:

  • Ferrari J50 exclusive bonus car
  • VIP Membership
  • Welcome Pack
  • Car Pass and Time Attack Car Pack
  • Italian Passion Pack arriving post-launch
  • Two confirmed premium expansions

The Premium Edition will grant players 4 days of Early Access, letting them jump in ahead of the full release.

There hasn’t been an official confirmation from Playground Games yet, but if this information is accurate, it would mark a significant step-up for the Horizon formula.

Japan is by far one of the most requested destinations among fans of the series. Should these rumours prove to be true, then Forza Horizon 6 will grant players the largest and most varied open world yet. We’ll have to wait for confirmation, but excitement is surely beginning to stir.
