Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 is almost over. Epic Games has announced their plans for the next season, including the theme of the maps, items, and battle pass. With the new Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3, Epic Games is introducing a new original superhero themed season with special appearances from iconic characters from different franchises.
Just before the update drops and after the end of the live event for Chapter 6 Season 3, Epic Games has announced that the game will go through a scheduled downtime. Here's a look at the downtime schedule for Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4.
Fortnite: Chapter 6 Season 4 Downtime Details
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 will end on June 8, 2025, around 11 AM ET. The downtime countdown has already begun in-game near the POI of the current map and on the main menu screen. While Epic Games has announced that the Fortnite downtime will last for more than 4 hours until the release of Chapter 6 Season 4, the Chapter 6 Season 3 downtime lasted for more than 10 hours.
The downtime extension is necessary to ensure that the game will not face any bugs, errors, or unexpected crashes. Moreover, the downtime is crucial for ensuring the map transitions occur smoothly, which includes the placement of the new POIs.
The new season will introduce all-new superhero-themed characters, items, and map changes, moving away from the Chapter 6 Season 4 Star Wars theme. The theme of Chapter 6 Season 3 was confirmed with the recent Epic Games posts on their official Twitter account. More superhero-themed content, skins, and Disney-themed content will arrive in the game throughout the entirety of the season.
Aside from the downtime, the new Chapter 6 Season 4 will also introduce changes and new content to the LEGO Fortnite, Fortnite Rocket Racing, Ballistic, and Battle Royale game modes.
