Epic Games and Gearbox Software have partnered up to introduce Borderlands 3 Mayhem crossover event to Fortnite in the latest, v10.20 content update. The event features Rift Zone based on Pandora, Psycho bandit and Claptrap cosmetic items.

After a small tease earlier today, Epic Games have now officially introduced Borderlands 3 crossover event named Mayhem to Fortnite. The v10.20 content update is now live on all platforms and it adds a fresh batch of content including Mayhem, which adds several Borderlands-inspired features.

One of the biggest additions is certainly the new Rift Zone, which is based on Borderlands planet Pandora. However' it's more than just a model; even the rules of the planet from Borderlands will apply while in the zone - players will begin to generate Shield after 4 seconds of not taking damage. Pandora is located near Paradise Palms and it will be available until 10 September 2019.

Furthermore, Mayhem also brings brand new, Borderlands-themed cosmetic items. You can pick up the Psycho Bundle from the shop and travel around with Claptrap on your back. We have to say, it looks really neat.

On top of the crossover event, the new content update also brings a ton of other additions, tweaks and changes. First, the Junk Rift has been reintroduced to all game modes after Epic Games decided to remove it due to an issue with the item.

Additionally, there is a brand new item named Shield Bubble. It's a rare item which can be found from Floor Loot, Chests, Supply Drops and Vending Machines. It lasts for 30 seconds and it creates a large bubble that blocks projectiles and explosives. You can shoot from inside the bubble but other players can also run through it.

In Fortnite Creative you can use the new Pandora Building Set to create your unique Borderlands setting. The update packs a lot more including bug fixes, improvements and other tweaks to various weapons and items. You can find the full patch notes on the official website for a closer look at everything in v10.20 update.
