Epic Games have teased some sort of crossover event between Fortnite and Gearbox Software's upcoming looter shooter Borderlands 3. Epic shared an artwork which features Psycho character from Borderlands 3 with a caption FortniteXMayhem.

Fortnite Season 10 or Season X is well underway and Epic Games have already introduced several content updates to the game with new events, game modes and usual tweaks to weapons and judging by the latest tweets the devs will look to continue the tradition with a brand new crossover event.

This time, it looks like Fortnite and Gearbox Software's upcoming looter shooter Borderlands 3 will join forces to bring players a new and unique experience. On Fortnite's official Twitter, Epic Games have teased some kind of collaboration or crossover event in a mysterious artwork which features a bunch of characters from Fortnite and one, hidden Borderlands 3 character.

It's the iconic Psyscho bandit and you can spot it in the lower-left corner in the artwork above. On Twitter, Epic also captioned the image with "When you see it..." followed with hashtag "FortniteXMayhem".

Unfortunately, Epic Games did not share any additional details about the potential crossover event so we're left with the tease for the time being. Hopefully, we'll get more information in the next few days.

If we had to guess what kind of event Fortnite players will get, we would say it probably has to something with Borderlands 3 skins, which certainly comes to mind when looking at the artwork design.

Epic Games and Gearbox Software collab doesn't come as a surprise as the two companies already partnered up to bring Borderlands 3 to Epic Games Store as a timed exclusive through April 2020.

Furthermore, Fortnite has hosted numerous collaborations and crossover event in the past, including the ones with Avengers, Stranger Things and John Wick.

All in all, whatever Epic Games and Gearbox have in mind, the event will probably happen pretty soon, as Borderlands 3 is scheduled to launch on 13 September 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
