Fortnite update 11.10 has landed and Epic brought back Fortnitemares as well as the Combine, although the latter is a bit different this time around. They also added the Storm King limited-time mode, where you can win a special umbrella.
Fortnitemares may be returning but Fortnite's Chapter 2 has brought with it a new map, so whether it's a return or a debut is open to grammar nazi debates.
As usual, the event comes with ghoulish and spooky cosmetics, which you can check out on the images. There's a bunch more to be checked out in Fortnite's store, but we'll leave that up to you.
Epic also launched the Storm King LTM, and they wrote, "The Storm King Challenges you. Squad up with you Friends and face him in the Storm King LTM to stop him from destroying the Island!"
There's also a community-made game called Gun Fright, which was made by community developer BluDrive, which is a 2v2 mode that drops players into firefights. Skill and communication between teammates will be crucial in this Fortnite mode.
Fortnitemares challenges have been leaked early and they're as follows:
- Destroy haunted household furniture (5)
- Leap from a Hideout while an opposing player is within 20m (1)
- Search a chest in a haunted forest, a ghost town, and a spooky farm (1)
- Deal damage to Storm King weak points (10,000)
- Revive teammates while battling the Storm King (3)
- Defeat the Storm King (1)
Epic said that the Kevolution Energy management brought back the Combine to weed out the weak. "However, The Combine isn't the same as it was before — an ancient evil has given it a nightmarish feel."
