Alleged Far Cry 6 tester has shared details about the early stages of Far Cry 6, when players meet the game's main villain El Presidente, who is played by Giancarlo Esposito.
Ubisoft's upcoming title Far Cry 6 is one of the most anticipated shooters of 2021 and with Giancarlo Esposito as the main villain, it's safe to say that the even those who don't consider themselves the fans of the franchise are interested in what the game and its story has to offer.
The publisher already confirmed some plot details, but alleged game tester who got to play early stages of Far Cry 6 recently, has shared some additional info about the story, at least the very beginning of it.
According to the leaker's Reddit post , players will meet the main villain Anton and his son Diego after the first mission. Somehow, you manage to escape the encounter and are cast into the open world where the game kicks off. Here's the full post with more details:
After the first mission, you are found by Anton and Diego is told to shoot you in order to gain allegiance or whatever. Anton is guiding Diego through this, pressuring to kill Dani (the player). Diego is hesitant and you’re able to escape before Anton kills you. He plans to make an example out of you. Now, you are in the open world. You can play whatever missions you want, very similarly to far cry 5, but with different factions contributing to each new interaction with Anton. When working in each separated area missions are somewhat linear and all contributing to the main story.
These details are yet to be confirmed and it's possible that we see this particular sequence in some gameplay videos in the near future but for now, you should take everything you just read with a grain of salt.
That being said, it's not unusual for Far Cry 6 games to introduce players to the main villain very early in the game so this certainly does sound realistic.
Far Cry 6 is currently in development for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Google Stadia.
