Embark Studios has announced the ARC Raiders Server Slam, a limited-time event running October 17-19 that gives players one final chance to experience the extraction shooter before its full launch on October 30. The event will be available globally across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, and Epic Games Store with no pre-registration required.
What's Included in the Server Slam
Players can dive into the Dam Battlegrounds map and experience key gameplay elements, including progression systems, crafting mechanics, and quest structures. This represents a significant opportunity for both returning players from previous tech tests and newcomers to get hands-on time with the PvPvE sandbox before launch.
All participants will receive an exclusive Backpack cosmetic reward that unlocks when they purchase the full game at launch. However, Embark Studios has clarified that progress made during the Server Slam weekend won't carry over to the main release.
Final Polish Before Launch
Executive Producer Aleksander Grøndal emphasised that the Server Slam serves as a crucial stress test. "Our goal is simple: make sure that on October 30, when the servers go live, every player experiences the game exactly as we've intended — polished, balanced, and ready for action," Grøndal stated.
The timing suggests Embark Studios is using this weekend to identify any last-minute technical issues and gather final feedback before the October 30 launch date.
Arc Raiders is certainly one of the most exciting upcoming shooters, but it remains to be seen if the game manages to succeed in an oversaturated market, especially with two heavy hitters, Battlefield 6 and Call of Duty Black Ops 7
