Call of Duty fans will be happy to know there’s another Monster-fueled promotion on the horizon. Activision and Monster Energy have teamed up once again, with Black Ops 7 joining past games like Black Ops 6 and Modern Warfare 3 in supporting the energy drink brand.
On November 14, the latest in the long-running franchise will release for players to enjoy, and players will be able to open Monster cans to unlock in-game items, ranging from cosmetics to other types of special bonuses. It has become something of a tradition for recent games in the series, so many players are never surprised to see Monster’s green-clawed branding alongside a new content drop announcement.
For Black Ops 7, the full line-up of promotional rewards has been revealed, showing off the unique in-game items available through the campaign. As the new game will be dropping later this year, it also gives players another reason to collect codes leading up to the title’s launch and work on building their collections. In addition to XP boosts, there are a variety of other unique cosmetics and weapon blueprints.
Black Ops 7 Monster Energy Rewards Breakdown
The Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Monster Energy promotion is a simple in and out. Scrape off some codes and redeem them for new cosmetic items. The number of items is determined by how many codes you redeem, so gather up some cans, we have the details.
On the official Monster x Call of Duty landing page, they list the in-game items, some of which include weapon blueprints to the Peacekeeper and VS Recon. Blueprints are weapon designs that add a new visual flavor to your favorite guns. Monster is also offering various new operator skins that are shrouded in mystery, but are rumored to include the Monster branding.
Each code will unlock a new item for the player, so the more cans you collect, the more items you can unlock. This year’s rewards are similar to years past where the Monster promotion offered some limited gear and Double XP tokens. For players willing to spend the time, hoarding codes now and being the first to use them when Black Ops 7 drops can be a huge benefit.
Carry Forward Controversy and Fresh Start
This offer comes on the heels of Activision’s announcement that the much-maligned Carry Forward system will not be a part of Black Ops 7. The publisher had originally intended to allow players to port all cosmetics, weapons, and skins from Black Ops 6 to the new game.
But in the face of backlash from fans over the absurdity of many of these items, Activision clarified that only Double XP tokens and Gobblegums will be carried over.
That ruling means that the Monster Energy rewards for Black Ops 7 will be standalone rewards, granting unique items that can’t be found in older content. For those who want to start from scratch in the new installment, these time-limited rewards will be a big incentive.
