It's been a while since we've got a patch for Elden Ring but here it is today with a couple of nice additions. From Software confirmed that the patch is now live across all platforms including PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
The patch is around 500 MB on the PC platform so it's not a big download, which is reflected in the not-so-big patch notes.
In terms of new features From Software added a couple of options related to summoning. First off, you can now send summoning signs to summoning pools in multiple areas, including distant areas.
On top of this, Elden Ring will now allow players to invade larger areas, including distant areas.
Last but not least, those who were unable to complete White Mask Varre's questline due to the mandatory multiplayer participation will be happy to hear there's a new way to advance the quest. Of course, you'll have to figure that out on your own.
DON'T MISS: Dark Souls 3 servers could be fixed soon
Greatsword users are probably fearing the worst given that the patch also brings some balancing to this popular sword as well as a couple of other slaying tools but fear not, Greatsword has been buffed, not nerfed.
These are some of the major adjustments that have been made to Greatsword, Curved Greatsword and Great Hammers:
- Reduced the time it takes for rolling to become possible after an attack (Jump attack, dual wield attack and attacks while mounted not included)
- Increased the motion speed of strong attack and charge attack (mounted attacks not included)
The patch also brings a ton of bug fixes and stability improvements. You can find the full breakdown of Patch 1.06 on Bandai Namco's official website.
