Today, we got some brand new details regarding Battlefield 2042 seasons. Each season is set to introduce a wide variety of content including new maps, weapons, vehicles and more.
Since EA and DICE decided to focus on the multiplayer aspect of Battlefield 2042, ditching the single-player campaign somewhere during the early concept stages, it's safe to expect a lot, and we really mean a lot of seasonal content and long-lasting support for this game.
EA already confirmed Battlefield 2042 will be a live service game with seasonal updates, similar to how other shooters on the market introduce their big content drops. Today, we have a ton of new details about this seasonal content and what exactly EA plan to introduce.
Each Battlefield 2042 season will bring at least one new specialist, two new maps, story-driven updates to Hazard Zone mode, six to eight new weapons and two to three new vehicles for each game mode along with 100 battle pass tiers with cosmetics and other items.
This probably sounds too good to be true but it looks like EA and DICE are all-in on Battlefield 2042, which is certainly exciting after the barren launch content of Battlefield V.
It remains to be seen just how good these updates will be. We're more for quality than quantity just like the majority of Battlefield fans and hopefully, EA and DICE also have similar thoughts.
Battlefield 2042 is set to launch on October 22, 2021, for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
