EA Sports have confirmed that EA Sports FC 27 has been officially announced. However, the gameplay and other features aren’t earning many headlines as fans have quickly turned their attention to how much EA Sports FC 27 costs.
The new Ultimate Plus Edition is currently the priciest edition of any EA game ever launched.EA Sports FC 27 Ultimate Plus Edition goes for $149.99, more than double the price of the standard edition, which retails at $69.99.
Premium editions aren’t anything new to the games industry these days, however this is still the most expensive game EA has ever sold as a standalone title.
Ultimate Plus Edition will include “lots of in-game rewards, especially for Ultimate Team.” Those bonuses include: 85+ OVR Icon, Seasons 1–5 Premium Pass, up to 7 Days of Early Access, Hall of FUT Player Pick, 10K FC Points over 5 months, 1 Extra Player Evolution Slot, 2x AXP Boost, exclusive Pre-Order Challenges, 3 Icons or Heroes, additional Manager Live challenge slot and a Player Evolution reward for EA Sports FC 26.
Deluxe Edition owners will only be granted the Premium Pass for season 1 and 6,000 FC points over three months. Fewer exclusive bonuses are included either. The Ultimate Plus Edition will only be available for purchase until August 31 if players want all of these bonuses.
While it’s an Ultimate Plus Edition, fans will remember that there was a time limit for pickups during Madden’s MVP Bundle+ too.
People are already lamenting about how EA Sports FC 27 Ultimate Plus costs about the same as last year’s MVP Bundle+, which gave players access to College Football 27 and Madden NFL 27. Only time will tell if players feel these bonuses are worth the cost when EA Sports FC 27 launches later this year.
