EA has released the official global launch date for EA Sports FC 26. The 2025 game will launch on September 26 for the whole world. Fans can pre-order the Ultimate Edition by August 26 for up to seven days of early access, 6,000 FC Points, and Ultimate Team benefits.
The latter includes a new untradeable ICON, new Archetypes, and other UT bonuses.
EA Sports FC 26 will launch on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC and both Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. Switch players, though, will see certain pre-order benefits pared back, including FC 25 crossover content.
EA Sports FC 26 gameplay and modes
As far as gameplay and modes in EA Sports FC 26 go, there are several new features to check out. Manager Live Challenges will import narrative-driven seasonal challenges into Career Mode.
Archetypes are new performance-defining attributes inspired by the best in the sport. Both features will enhance gameplay and customization across the game’s modes.
Players who purchase the Standard Edition will also get a 92+ OVR ICON for FC 25, a one-time use Archetype Unlock Consumable, as well as Manager Career additions, including a five-star coach and top scout.
FC 25 bonuses also do not apply to the Switch versions and to physical game purchases, just as with the Ultimate Edition.
EA Sports FC 26 improvements
EA is touting the feedback it’s heard from the community leading into the next iteration and how it has changed and improved all core systems and modes in the game to provide a better football sim experience.
This year will have more added content, integrations across modes, as well as new features for players who want more control and depth.
