A small development studio Nordic Trolls have been working on their debut title called Under a Rock for several years now, and it seems like we're finally nearing the release date of this exciting new title.
In case you're unfamiliar with Under a Rock, it's a colourful, Fortnite-like in visual style, crafting survival game that promises a lot of features including a massive world to explore and build in.

About Under a Rock
Setting and world
You play as an early‑nineteenth‑century explorer stranded on an alternate‑evolution island. Just by looking at the screenshots and gameplay footage, you can see this is a vibrant world with giant creatures, curious natives, underwater caverns, and dark caves packed with unique resources.
The game's world is procedurally generated, which should make every dungeon run feel unique thanks to different enemy and resource positioning and refreshed level design.
Survival mechanics
Like every good survival game, Under a Rock will allow you to build, fight beasts, explore, farm, fish, cook and more to survive in this stunning world.
You'll also be able to tame, breed and ride beasts, and these will come with unique abilities to help you in exploration. And if you're feeling peckish… well, cooking is also an option.
Base Building
Under a Rock aims to let players really build all sorts of structures, so you don't feel boxed in with build limits. Be it a small cosy beach hut or a sprawling village, Under a Rock will let you do that with over 500 buildable components already confirmed, and more on the way.
Under a Rock Combat Gameplay
Recently, developers have released a new gameplay trailer showcasing the game's combat. We got to see swords, axes, spears, bows and more weapons. The game also features parry and dodge buttons.
What Platforms Will Under a Rock Launch On?
The game is confirmed for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Expect cross-play support across these platforms.
Release Date: When Can You Play?
No firm release date is set yet. The Steam store page lists it as "To be announced". The developers state on the Steam page that "early Access is not yet open, and we are still a bit away from this happening," so it's safe to assume that Under a Rock is not coming anytime soon.
