Call of Duty: Warzone is not finished with its July content just yet, as another patch is out. This minor patch is focused on Ranked Play with a slew of weapon nerfs. While it is much smaller than the full Season 4 Reloaded update at the start of the month, there is still plenty to enjoy, with this Warzone midseason patch continuing to tune up Resurgence.
Patches for Call of Duty: Warzone are released more frequently these days. Season 4 Reloaded dropped on July 2, with a follow up patch later in the month to make small balance changes, and now another follow-up patch.
This latest patch is more focused on Ranked Play with multiple balance changes for a variety of weapons, though some Ranked Play and Resurgence balancing has been applied to common bug fixes and changes.
Ranked Play Fixes and Resurgence Balancing
Resolved an issue where Portable Buy Stations were dropping from legendary crates. Portable Buy Stations have been restricted from dropping in ranked loot.
Marksman Rifles Get Hit Hard
The DM-10 and TR2 Marksman Rifles received significant nerfs:
DM-10:
- Max damage reduced from 78 → 63.8
- Effective range cut from 50.8m → 35.5m
- Minimum long-range damage dropped to 50.8
TR2:
- Max and minimum damage both decreased from 59 → 45.9
Additionally, all Marksman Rifles now have:
- Reduced bullet velocity: 1020m/s → 950m/s
- Slower aim-down-sight time: 300ms → 350ms
- Increased sprint-to-fire delay: 205ms → 235ms
These changes aim to dial back the dominance of Marksman Rifles in long-range encounters and promote greater weapon diversity.
Additional Bug Fixes
Beyond Ranked Play, the patch also addresses a variety of issues:
- Stat tracking errors for Pre-Match lobby kills are fixed.
- Players should now be able to exit the Ranked lobby properly.
- Attachment editing bugs during matches have been resolved.
- Plunder mode received attention, fixing overtime cash rewards and AI behavior with Attack Choppers.
- A Ranked exploit involving Spy Cameras has been patched—these gadgets are now fully restricted in competitive modes.
