BioWare recently revealed that Dragon Age: The Veilguard will have three difficulty choices, with the added option of adjustable difficulty elements. It will be the same with Dragon Age: The Veilguard, and BioWare has revealed small changes in this regard.
Unlike the previous games (Dragon Age: Dreadwolf), which traditionally had four difficulties, the new Veilguard will narrow the choice to three: Storyteller - for those who care more about the story than the fight, Adventurer - for those who want a balance of story and challenge, and Nightmare - as the classically greatest challenge during which has no possibility of lowering the weight.
However, there will be a fourth option in which players will independently adjust some segments of the challenge. With this option, it will be possible to determine the use of certain aids (like auto aim), reaction speed, level of damage received and more.
There will even be an option for the player to be immortal, called Unbound. BioWare states that the Unbound difficulty setting is more of an accessibility option.
They say these are not cheat options because they want players of all skills and handicaps to be able to play the game the way they want to play it.
Unbound difficulty option allows players to enhance aim assist feature and enable an auto-aim option. Moreover, player will be able to strengthen their damage and reduce the damage of their enemies.
Nonetheless, the most important Unbound difficulty feature is that the players can turn off deaths for their characters. In the end, we can only say that BioWare aims to provide players of all skills and handicaps with the ability to play the game the way they want to play it.
