BioWare officially announced today that Dragon Age: The Veilguard will release on October 31st for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC. The news comes off the back of a leak earlier today by way of a TV advertisement.
Pre-orders for the frankly highly anticipated RPG have gone live, and to celebrate, BioWare has released a new trailer showing diverse environments and, of course, its majestic dragons.
In the trailer, Rook and his crew face consequences for meddling with Solas's ritual, which provokes the wrathful blighted Elven gods. As a result, Rook and his crew must enlist allies and arm themselves for war as the gods follow one another on this course, through mystical landscapes full of fantastic creatures.
The trailer suggests encounters with dragons, griffins, and even a giant, reanimated skeleton that appears following mentions of the Fae, adding richness and mystery to its lore.
BioWare has promised to share more exciting content with fans over the next weeks. Next week, there will be a high-level combat gameplay show, and then there will be a special spotlight on the PC version.
Its shift the week after that to Rook's companions, then move to a Q&A session with the development team scheduled on Discord.
With pre-orders for Dragon Age: The Veilguard now open, fans can lock down their copy in advance of the Halloween launch. This game is going to offer so much more and be vastly more interesting compared to earlier games in this series.
