After a long wait, Bethesda's epic sci-fi RPG Starfield is launching in just a couple of months and thanks to the most recent deep dive, we have a bunch of details about the game's story, quests, mechanics and more.
One of the questions that many excited Starfield fans seem to be asking is related to the Earth and the fate of our home planet. Bethesda have revealed a couple of details about Earth but it does look like it will be up to you to discover the mystery surrounding the once blue-green marble.
So, if you are interested in reading more about Earth in Starfield and its fate, read on below for everything we know about our planet in Starfield so far.
Here are all the known details about the earth in Starfield.
- Earth has been destroyed and it's now a desolate planet, completely uninhabitable for humans.
- In the recent gameplay showcase, we can see Earth as a yellow/brown planet, still circling around the sun.
- All flora and fauna are presumably dead on Earth as the planet's ecosystems are non-existent.
- Humans left Earth at some point in Starfield's timeline, to explore space for other planets where they could live.
- Mars is one of the planets where humans started a new colony after leaving Earth.
- Bethesda confirmed that players will get to visit our solar system very early in the game's story.
- This early quest will provide some answers on what happened to the earth and why humans had to leave.
So far, that's pretty much everything we know about Earth in Starfield. It does look like the fate of the Earth is heavily connected to the game's story so we doubt Bethesda will reveal more details in the coming months to avoid spoilers.
Starfield is officially launching on September 6, 2023, for PC and Xbox Series X|S.
