One of the biggest questions that Starfield fans have been asking ever since that gameplay deep dive was regarding rovers or some sort of a land vehicle that will make exploration of planets faster and overall easier.
Bethesda boss Todd Howard revealed in the latest episode of Kinda Funny Xcast that Starfield will not have such a feature. You will have a boost pack that will make the traversal a bit quicker but most of the time, you'll be exploring planets on foot.
Here's what Todd had to say when asked about land vehicles.
"There is not [a land vehicle]. We design [exploration] to feel good on foot but we have a boost pack, you've seen some of that in the video, and you have skills for the boost pack so the boost pack almost acts like a vehicle where you can fly through, and the low gravity planets are really really something special in the game."
So there you have it, folks. There are no land vehicles in Starfield but you have the next best thing - a boost pack - that can almost act like a flying vehicle once you upgrade it.
We have seen some examples of low-gravity planets in the deep dive, where players can literally jump over huge sections of the map thanks to their boost pack.
We have to say that it is a bit disappointing that there are no rovers or any type of vehicles in the game but it is what it is, we can't expect to get every single video game feature in Starfield, which is massive as it is.
