Starfield will let you romance certain characters you meet on your space exploration journey and today, Todd Howard revealed a couple of new details about romances in this long-awaited sci-fi RPG from Bethesda.
Howard was a guest on Kinda Funny Xcast, where he talked about all things Starfield including the romances. When asked if players will be able to have a romantic relationships with characters they meet throughout the storyline, Howard responded affirmatory, adding that there are four romance options in the game.
All four characters will be from the Constellation faction, which could come as a disappointment to some. However, it does look like Bethesda want to make these romance options really deep and complex and not just a one night stand.
When compared to other major RPGs on the market, Starfield's number of romance options is not that small at all. For example, Cyberpunk 2077 also has four romance options but as we've mentioned above, these are long questlines where players have to build relationships and trust with characters before staring a romance. Starfield is probably going for a similar scope.
One of the potential romance option could be Sarah Morgan, a Constellation companion that we've seen a couple of times in the previous trailers. As for other romance options, we don't have additional details but hopefully, Bethesda will share more trailers and information in the coming weeks and months.
Starfield is officially coming on September 6, 2023 for Xbox Series X/S and PC.
