Reddit denizens will remember the infamous statement about dedicating an Exotic slot to the heavy weapons back in the days of the original Destiny when the user's theory was destroyed by a rocket launcher.
Back then, Bungie introduced Gjallarhorn, which made a new appearance in Destiny 2 not so long ago and now it is time for another oldie to make its way to the Guardians' arsenals.
Dragon's Breath will be a new Exotic rocket launcher that will be obtained through Season Pass during Season of the Wish, which starts on November 28, 2023.
Just in case the name didn't give it away, the rocket launcher will be all about setting your enemies on fire. Its first intrinsic perk, Burn the World, allows the weapon to charge up to five fuel canisters while you are not firing it. Once you shoot off a rocket, the canisters will be used up to imbue the projectile with the ability to embed itself into the target and cause Scorch periodically while spelling incendiary pools around it, which also cause Scorch.
The more canisters were used, the longer the effect would last before the rocket detonates.
The second intrinsic is High Octane. When you ignite an enemy, two charges of Dragon's Breath fuel will be gained instantly. When the counter hits five charges, the weapon is reloaded automatically.
To get the full benefits of the weapon, you will need to complete Banshee's quest to gain the catalyst for it. It is called Pyromancer and it will cause the canisters to passively refresh faster than usual and cause Firesprites to spawn when you defeat enemies with Dragon's Breath.
