After 14 years of existence and multiple visual makeovers, Summoner's Rift is going to change its shape without the assistance of an elemental dragon in order to stop giving one team an advantage in League of Legends.
Essentially, Riot Games will make both sides of the map more symmetrical in order to mirror the pathways so both teams face equal dangers and opportunities.
The single biggest change will be the removal of top lane tribush gank path that worked against the red-side player.
As such, both solo laners will mostly have to be careful about ganks directly from the river, the lane bushes and the niche or champions that can jump over thick walls and evade turret shots while flanking the opponent.
Additionally, the Baron pit is going to have two more paths leading to the giant Void snake, from top left and bottom right side of the pit. This will provide additional flank and escape routes for champions who are not that good with wall jumping, which should technically mean they will have an easier time fitting into the meta.
Mid laners will no longer have to fear ganks from both paths close to their turret as one of the avenues has been blocked off.
Bot lane red side will mirror the tribush area of the blue side, which will remove the advantage it had previously as red bot laners could freeze the lane in a safe spot without worrying about a flank.
