Death Stranding 2: On the Beach officially releases on June 26, 2025 for PlayStation 5. Kojima Productions and Sony announced the details today along with a brand new epic gameplay trailer which shows all the various terrains, characters, enemies, combat and more.
The game will be available for pre-order on March 17, 2025, and comes in three editions - Standard, Digital Deluxe and Collector's Edition. Purchasing any of the latter two will give you 48 hours early access which means you'll be able to play on June 24.
The Collector's Edition is obviously the most expensive one since it comes with all sorts of in-game and physical stuff, including a 15" statue of one of the enemy characters from the game. Check it out below.
In terms of what we've seen in the trailer, it's safe to say that fans of the first game will be very excited to play the sequel. Everything looks bigger, better and more intriguing judging by the short video.
There are more biomes including deserts, lush jungles, snowy mountain peaks and towns, while the variety of enemies also seems to be cranked up a notch. From the story perspective, the trailer also gives some hints on what to expect. We've seen new antagonists and villains as well as friendly faces from the first game so Death Stranding 2's story should be one unforgettable ride.
June couldn't come sooner enough.
